Napoleon III Walnut Sofa

French Napoleon III two-seater sofa, in the Louis XVI style. 

This sofa is in finely carved walnut and features pierced ribbon tied cresting to the back. 

With padded armrests on downswept beaded front supports, with carved acanthus leaves to the base. 

The bow-fronted seat is supported on stop fluted circular tapered legs, with original brass castors. 

This is a very elegant sofa, displaying many classic features of the Louis XVI style. It will blend easily with other pieces and a range of interior settings, because of its classical simplicity.
