Striking Gustavian sofa, scraped back to its original paint.
The sofa is typically neoclassical, with an architectural pediment to the back and decorative urn finials to each corner.
It is beautifully carved throughout, including a guilloche border to the crest rail, a central star motif to the back and a moulded apron.
Standing on straight tapering legs. Enclosed sides, with a later seat that features storage underneath. This is a wonderful piece, that offers the perfect seating for an idle afternoon.
