This wonderful painting depicts a single tree with a grass and sky landscape in the foreground and background.

Susanna Linhart was an English artist based in the Foret des Maures which is close to La Garde Freinet in the south of France. Susanna spent many years living there, first with the sculptor Lynn Chadwick, later with her husband Andrew, an English academic from Naples. Her work consists mainly of still life and landscape, on some occasions combining the two.

It is signed "S.Linhart" to the bottom right-hand corner. 

Featuring an elegant and cool colour palette, this lovely painting shall elevate any room. It is light and clean.
