Beautiful French 18th Century, Louis XVI mirror with carved two twin-tailed mermaids.

This wonderful mirror has a variety of decorations including bay and olive branches, and an urn with a flambeau.

The stunning- mirror plate was probably carved in Marseille which was reputed to have the best carvers of marine subjects in the period. Circa 1780.
