Beautiful early 18th Century carved oak dresser/ bookcase.
The powder blue wash on this piece enhances the stunning carvings throughout the frame.
The moulded cornice has an elaborate scroll carved frieze, with heads depicted above the scroll supports.
Below, adjustable open dog tooth shelves are flanked by elaborately carved square tapering pillars surmounted by heads.
The bottom section offers lockable twin panelled doors with further carved decoration, again flanked by carved pillars.
The whole is supported on a plinth base with a central carved rosette and a stepped moulded support.
