Truly wonderful 19th Century original painted pine 'chevrette' or writing table, after a design by Thomas Sheraton.

The lift-off top section, with drawers and hoop handles, the base standing on finely tapered legs with cross stretchers and a single long drawer.

The whole retains its original painted decoration and lion-faced handles ( one old replacement ).
