19th Century Italian Polychrome Metal Floor Lamp

Fabulous 19th Century polychrome iron standard lamp.

This wonderful and decorative piece was originally a tall candle holder that was later converted to a floor lamp in the 20th Century.

Featuring three stylised flowers and foliage to the top and the stem has pretty painted floral and foliate decoration, it has a brass bulb/candle holder sitting in a gilt metal cup and central brass ornamentation.

The stem leads down to a gilt metal surround and terminates on a beautifully scrolled foot with further foliate tole flourishes.

A wonderful and unique piece.
