19th Century painted bookcase.

Of Late 19th Century French origin, dating from around the 1880s and constructed in solid walnut, this painted bookcase has a cornice over an arrangement of open shelves. The lower section has twin reeded doors enclosing the interior and the whole is supported on a plinth base.

The whole piece can dismantle for ease of transportation.

With its simple classical lines, this piece would mix very easily with pieces of other styles in the home.
