Decorative late 20th Century Studio pottery art vase, by Andrew Hill.
This vase has a wonderful shape, with a very narrow shape and bulbous body.
Andrew Hill is known for his work inspired by eastern ceramics. He specialises in thrown work as well as the Raku technique.
Raku ware involves firing at low temperatures and allowing the work to cool in the open air. These ceramics are traditionally associated with Japanese tea ceremonies.
This piece is signed to the base.
