Early 19th Century English Artists' Studio Card Table
This wonderful table is a work of art in itself. Georgian, dating to the late 18th or early 19th Century.
This table comes from an artist's studio where it was used to mix paints. If even retains tubes of paint and an old ceramic Windsor & Newton palette.
It has a fold-over top which opens to reveal a baize lined interior. With a frieze below.
This piece relies on its classical simplicity for effect, resting on elegant square tapering legs.
Once the legs and drawer have been extended, this lovely piece still functions as a game table.
