20th Century Ceramic Jug

Early 20th Century ceramic jug with raised banding.

It is stamped "Green & Co LTD, Greeley England" to the underside.

This is a simple, unadorned jug with clean lines and simple forms that were part of the everyday 19th Century kitchen. Their purity and functionality are as appealing today as they were then.

This jug would have originally been used for either water, milk or flowers, or simply amassed alongside a decorative collection.
