Beautiful French 19th Century cherrywood commode in the Louis XVI style.
This commode has a very refined and elegant rectilinear profile and exhibits beautiful colour and patina throughout.
The nicely figured grey marble top sits over an arrangement of three short drawers and two long ones.
All of the drawers feature brass inlaid borders and the short drawers are interspersed with brass inlaid diamond decoration. The long drawers are flanked by brass inlaid reeding, giving this piece a great neoclassical presence.
The whole rests on tall spinning top feet.
This classic commode will bring majesty and gravitas to any interior.
