French 19th Century Industrial Chart

French educational wall chart dating to the late 19th Century.

This fascinating lithographic chart illustrates, with samples, the processes involved in cleaning and dyeing textiles. Accompanying each is scientific description. 

It comes from the Musée Industriel Scolaire and would have been one of several educational charts.

The work was edited by Charles Delagrave, a French publisher and editor who specialised in educational works. 

There is some wear and scuffing to the surface and one component is missing. 

Presented in a sage green painted box frame.
