Lovely wing back English armchair, circa 1890.
The wing style prevailed in English furniture since its early popularity under Queen Anne. This is a lovely example, with a tall back and softly domed cresting rail. Low armrests and shaped uprights.
Resting on turned legs to the front and splayed legs to the rear. Upholstered in a neutral fabric, this armchair would be a great addition to period and contemporary interiors alike.
