19th Century Mahogany Folio Stand

Exceptional English mahogany folio stand, dating to the early 19th Century.

This fine quality stand features two adjustable leaves, which work by pulling on the two decorative cords to disengage the ratcheted mechanism. 

The central bed features two concave channels for holding documents in place. Resting on end supports with platform bases and raised on bun feet. 

Beautifully rich patina throughout and in great condition. 

Height with leaves down: 17 inches. Base: 30 inches by 27 inches.
