Pair of Grand Scale Columns

Pair of grand scale Indian columns, circa 1900.

These wooden columns feature intricately carved wooden capitals with scroll and foliate details. The column shafts are fluted and culminate in plinth bases which also feature decorative carving. 

These columns are very solid and strong. Columns of this sort would be seen in Indian haveli- traditional Indian mansions, with exquisitely decorated interiors.  

In today's interiors, this pair would make a fantastic statement in an entrance, hallway, or entertaining space.
