19th Century English Regency rosewood and brass piano stool.

This smart stool offers a square leather-covered seat with an adjustable height and revolving function. The seat is supported on a shaped and tapering central support column which terminates on an elegant triform base.

Of superior quality and in an excellent condition. It is likely to have been made by one of the eminent cabinet-makers of the time such as Howard & Sons or Hampton & Sons.

The metalwork is by Cope & Collinson, as indicated by a stamp to the underside.

This fantastic stool will find a range of uses in the home, whether at the piano as originally intended or perhaps in the office.

 Circa 1820.
