Dating from the early 20th Century and of French origin, this set of dining chairs is in the Maison Jansen taste. Having very attractive pierced lyre backs and supported on circular tapered fluted legs, with the upholstery being in good condition, this set is very much in the Louis XVI manner will the structural designs of Maison Jansen.
Maison Jansen was a firm of interior decorators founded in 1880 by Jean-Henri Jansen who was of Dutch origin. The company was based in Paris and is considered to be the first truly global design firm. The company had clients between Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Latin America.
