Part of our Contemporary Created Collection
This sofa is a twist on our ever popular Elmstead model. This version is made the traditional way, with a hand tied coil spring seat and fully upholstered back, making it extremely comfortable.
With a nod to traditional Regency style, the clean, curving lines look equally at home in modern and traditional interiors.
The Details:
We build our Traditional Elmstead up the old-fashioned way, with a hardwood beech frame, hand-tied coil-sprung seat, and fully upholstered back.
What makes the Traditional Elmstead so comfortable is the high down content (50% down/ 50% feather). The down gives the seat cushions lovely softness, while the feathers provide loft and spring.
The castors are individually hand-cast by traditional English metal crafters to a very high standard and a variety of finishes can be achieved. We use the antique brass finish as standard.
The legs can be either tapered or turned and come in a variety of woods and finishes. Shown here with tapered dark oak legs.
The Traditional Elmstead, like all of our sofas, can be made completely bespoke. We want this to be your perfect sofa, so if you want it a bit bigger or smaller, softer or firmer, or anything else just ask and we will do our best to accommodate.
The price excludes fabric. If you need some help finding the perfect fabric, let us know. It takes approximately 18 metres in a plain fabric to cover a standard Traditional Elmstead. For patterns, and bespoke sizes, get in touch and we can advise on fabric quantity.
