Set of twelve (ten plus two carvers) 19th Century Spanish carved walnut dining chairs in early 18th Century 'Os de Mouton' style.
Provenance: this set of chairs belonged to the film director Orson Welles, and comes with a copy of a letter form the Estate of Orson Welles to authenticate their origin, as well as an image from the film 'The Immortal Story' with Jeanne Moreau, where the chairs appear.
For re-upholstery. Carvers dimensions, height 109cm, width 82.5cm, depth 63cm, seat height 48cm, seat depth 53cm. Dining chairs dimensions below, additional dimensions seat height 46cm, seat depth 43cm.
