Very Large 19th Century French Walnut Vendange Table

A very large 19th Century French walnut vendange or wine table. 

This table, originally designed for wine tasting in a French vineyard, is of particularly large scale and exceptional quality. 

With its familiar end supports with finely shaped feet and tilting top, which is much larger than usual size, this will comfortably seat six people. Its tilting top means that it can be stored against a wall when not in use. 

The wishbone-shaped turning support for the top is particularly well executed and the timbers used throughout are of excellent quality. A wonderful piece of French country furniture.
