Large scale Victorian cast iron garden urn, by Hunt and Pickering of Leicester.

The intricate iron fretwork gives this urn an impactful gothic drama. The fretted sectional bowl retains its original zinc liner, and the whole exhibits many layers of ancient paint.

Two of the bowl sections show losses to the fretwork, but otherwise this lovely urn is in good order. It would make a great planter, but is fabulously decorative in its own right.
