English 19th Century watercolour painting by Thomas James Lloyd R.S.W.

This painting depicts a barge being rescued at Kingsdown. 

It was painted by the distinguished watercolour artist Thomas James Lloyd (1849-1910). Lloyd was a landscape, genre and marine painter who exhibited from 1870. He was elected A.R.W.S and R.W.S in 1878 and 1886 respectively. 

He lived in London and later Sussex, generally known as Tom Lloyd.
