Collection of Four 19th Century Burr Maple Chairs
Fantastic set of four 19th Century burr maple bedroom chairs.
Attributed to Gillows, these chairs have a fantastic form. Gillow & Co was originally founded in Lancaster in 1730, with the London branch opening in 1775. The firm established a reputation as the best cabinet-makers/furniture makers in England, with a host of wealthy and famous clients.
These chairs feature decorative rococo style backs and terminate onto tulip legs. Each chair has a drop-in seat and all are in great condition for their age.
This is a superb collection that will not only suit the bedroom but also many other rooms within the home.
